Draft for counsel review. This page describes Tripmunk’s current product and intended practices, but it is not approved for a store submission yet.
Start account deletion
Sign in to Tripmunk on the web, open Profile, choose Settings, and find Delete account at the bottom. The external link below takes you directly into that flow.
Password accounts must enter their password. Accounts without a password must sign in again with a connected Google or Apple account and type DELETE. These checks help prevent deletion from a stolen or borrowed session.
Delete in the mobile app
Open Profile, choose Settings, expand Delete account, and complete the confirmation shown for your sign-in method. You do not need to email support before deleting your account.
What the deletion process removes
The current deletion process removes the Tripmunk authentication account and account-owned database records, including the profile, saves, owned collections and trips, posts, comments, social relationships, and account settings. It also attempts to remove account-owned profile and content files from Tripmunk storage and signs out the current session.
Deletion is permanent. Shared links to deleted, account-owned trips and collections stop working, and the account cannot be restored.
Narrow retention exceptions
Some safety, moderation, fraud-prevention, security, dispute, and legally preserved records may remain after account deletion. Account identifiers are removed from report records where the current data model permits it. Provider logs, backups, and cached copies may expire on secured schedules rather than immediately.
A custom-entry image can remain when a surviving copy in another person’s shared trip still references it. This behavior and the final retention periods require counsel approval before this page is used for a store submission.
If you cannot access the account
Email privacy@tripmunk.app from the address associated with the account. Explain that you cannot access the deletion flow. Tripmunk may need to verify account ownership before acting.
